Team Lewis

Robert and Charliese are the Founders and Officers of Robert & Charliese Lewis Ministries Inc., co-authors of The ‘After Church’ Experience blog, co-hosts of the retired ACE Radio Show/Podcast, and lead facilitators of the Bible Study Buddy Prayer Call and Bible and Book Studies.  These ministries focus on making intentional time for God through daily prayer, devotions, and the study of God’s Word outside of the four walls of the church.

They are known to many as #TeamLewis, ministering to others as a married couple under the covenant of God.

​

Charliese Brown Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education from Kentucky State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University, and a Master of Science in Higher Education from the University of Kentucky.  She is employed as a Family and Community Engagement Liaison. She is the former Executive Director of Louisville Literary Arts. Additionally, she assists clients as an editor and a self-publishing educator and servicer through For Purpose. She is also a contributing columnist for The Lextropolis Magazine.

Minister Lewis has served in many capacities in the church including as a musician for 30 years and a Director of the Women’s Fellowship Ministry.

​

She serves as the Music Ministry Liaison at Simpson Chapel United Methodist Church in Versailles, Kentucky.

 

For many years, she has designed and delivered Bible-based curriculum and workshops for women and youth across the state of Kentucky. She answered her call into ministry in 2013.

 

Her favorite Bible verse is found in Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

Robert J. Lewis is a native of Lexington, Kentucky.  He is a graduate of Bryan Station High School and Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting Electronic Media.

​He has been employed with WKYT-TV, Adelphia Media Services, Kentucky State University, and Berea College as an audio and video production expert and administrator.  He currently works as the Director of Creative Media Production for Fayette County Public Schools.

​

​Over the years, Minister Lewis has served in many capacities in the church including the Mass Choir, the Men’s Choir, and the worship leader for the Voices of Joy Choir and the “Second Sunday” youth and young adult ministry. He answered his call into the ministry on May 20, 2015 and preached his initial sermon on June 28, 2015.   

​

He serves as the Supply Pastor of Simpson Chapel United Methodist Church in Versailles, Kentucky.

​

His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 54:17:

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
